Slo-mo invasion update: Venezuelan gang spreading across U.S., crime, and more
Venezuelan gang Tren de Aragua present in almost half of states
The Venezuelan gang Tren de Aragua (TDA) has fanned out across the U.S. and is known to be engaged in crimes in at least 15 states. Per a News Nation report, the border patrol says TDA has a presence in at least half of all states.
NYC has a major TDA problem, per the NY Post:
Members of the vicious Tren de Aragua gang, its associates and suspected co-conspirators have been arrested 517 times citywide this year – with a whopping 295 busts coming near Midtown Manhattan’s popular tourist spots, crime stats reviewed by The Post reveal.
The NYPD has identified 41 migrant gangbangers in the Venezuelan crew — not including an affiliated youth crew and other associates — who alone amassed 143 arrests, with almost half the bookings in Midtown’s busiest retail neighborhoods since January, according to the data.
But the network’s reach goes much farther, with affiliated gang Los Diablos de la 42 and other co-defendants — and cops believe there are more than 200 members of TDA still to be documented.
According to the Department of Homeland Security, over 600 migrants currently in the U.S. have connections to TDA and the agency has said around 100 of those individuals are “subjects of interest.”
Since October 2022, ICE has indicated there were over 100 TDA members arrested, 75 of which for crossing into the U.S. illegally or other immigration violations.
Last month, More To The Story reported on a letter from Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Acting Director Patrick Lechleitner to Congressman Tony Gonzales (R-TX) that sanctuary cities are an issue in combatting illegal alien crime.
Detainer Data in the letter from Oct. 1, 2020 through July 22, 2024 shows 24,796 detainers lifted. The vast majority — 23,591 —were declined by state and local law enforcement agencies.
The letter also dropped some bombshell statistics such as 662,566 noncitizens with criminal histories were on ICE's national docket as of July 21, 2024.
Out of that total, 435,719 are convicted criminals and 226,847 have pending criminal charges.
The number of illegal aliens on the non-detained docket was 3.7 million in FY 2021, almost 4.8 million in FY 2022 and is at a whopping 7 million in FY 2023.
Various Republican candidates this election cycle have at one time made the statement that “every state is a border state.”
North Carolina is included in that statement and has seen its share of illegal alien crime.
Last week, More To The Story shared a map of the nation that logs such crimes that shows North Carolina with a ranking of third in the nation.
There’s an entire account on Elon Musk’s X dedicated to posting about illegal alien crimes across the country. More To The Story has dropped two articles about that account, each one with a list of crimes committed in North Carolina.

Former Project Veritas founder James O’Keefe, under his new company O’Keefe Media Group (OMG), has reported this past year about nongovernmental organizations (NGOs) transporting migrants all over the country.
O’Keefe highlighted that those NGOs are reaping billions in taxpayer funds to do this work.
In OMG videos, migrants were seen being shuffled in and out of an old bank, and in another video, migrants were taking up what appear to be hotels or shelters, and buses with blacked out windows came and went from those locations.
A similar situation was reported to be happening in North Carolina.
I was tagged in a post on X made by the account “@deplorable315,” which had posted images taken by their spouse at the Ramada by Wyndham in Statesville.
The images (below) showed alleged migrants milling around the parking lot and the post claimed that vehicles with Texas license plates were coming and going from the hotel.
Full text of the post:
Late this morning, Iredell Firewire started to receive multiple messages regarding the Ramada by Wyndham in Statesville. Citizens were reporting hundreds of Hispanic descent individuals coming or going in dozens of white and black vans with Texas license plates.
Iredell Firewire attempted to contact Statesville Police Chief David Onley regarding the situation wondering if he had any information. Dan called and text Chief Onley with no return call or text.
Not satisfied, Dan traveled to the Ramada Inn to see for himself if the reports from citizens were true. As Dan exited 77 onto E Garner Bagnal Blvd, Dan could see dozens and dozens of men and women standing in the parking lot. These individuals seemed confused and were walking aimlessly around the parking lot. Hundreds of plastic garbage bags were seen with personal belongings along with food in containers.
Dan decided to park his truck and walk into the Ramada and speak with the front desk. A lady behind the front desk refused to speak with Dan and summoned the owner of the hotel to speak with Dan. The owner, named Zeeka, came out from a back room and also refused to answer any questions but did admit, these individuals have been in the hotel for weeks and were now leaving. The hotel owner even asked Dan for his identification in which he refused to provide.
After speaking with the owner, Dan walked outside to speak with a few of the people in the parking lot. Everyone Dan approached refused to speak with him even though Dan could hear some individuals speaking in English.
The Firewire tried to get answers for the general public regarding this situation but neither the Ramada Inn nor the Statesville Police Department wanted to answer any questions. The Firewire couldn't get any concrete information regarding these individuals on what they were doing or where they were heading. Dan could see some vans leaving and getting onto 77 northbound.
If we hear anything else we will inform the citizens of Iredell County.
I’d like to say I verified this report, but I can’t. I called the hotel in my official capacity with North State Journal just to see if I could get some kind of confirmation, but the minute I said I was with a news outlet the woman who answered hung up on me — twice.
My next move is an email Wyndham Hotels to see if someone there will address this item.
