I don’t know how many of you out there were addicted to the X-Files, but for me I used to cut out of Happy Hour in college just to go watch the next episode.
As an adult, I have become fairly obsessed with the spate of Congressional hearings and disclosures about UFOs (now called Unidentified Aerial Phenomenon or UAPs) over the past few years.
A new joint hearing is set for this coming week on UAPS, according to a press release from the House Oversight Committee. The hearing is titled “Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena: Exposing the Truth.”
The release says the Subcommittee on Cybersecurity, Information Technology, and Government Innovation Chairwoman Nancy Mace (R-SC) and Subcommittee on National Security, the Border, and Foreign Affairs Chairwoman Glenn Grothman (R-WI) will be running this hearing.
“This second hearing on the topic of Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena (UAPs) will attempt to further pull back the curtain on secret UAP research programs conducted by the U.S. government, and undisclosed findings they have yielded,” the press release states. “The hearing will examine the Department of Defense’s (DoD) reluctance to appropriately declassify material on UAPs, and ways to make sure the American public is better informed on this topic.”
When the hearing will happen
Wednesday, November 13, 2024, at 11:30 a.m. ET.
Live stream will be available on the House Oversight webpage and on its YouTube channel.
Who is testifying
Dr. Tim Gallaudet, Rear Admiral, U.S. Navy (RET.), Chief Executive Officer, Ocean STL Consulting, LLC
Mr. Luis Elizondo, Author, and Former Department of Defense Official
Mr. Michael Gold, Former NASA Associate Administrator of Space Policy and Partnerships; Member of NASA UAP Independent Study Team
Mr. Michael Shellenberger, Founder of Public
Earlier this month, Shellenberger reported that the Pentagon is “illegally hiding UFO programs from Congress.”
Dozens of whistleblowers have come forward giving testimony to Congress.
And whistleblowers are involved in Shellenberger’s current accusations. One is named in Shellenberger’s report, albeit cut off from non-paid subscribers. I would expect this report to be fully laid out during the upcoming joint hearing.
More To The Story
The upcoming hearing comes on the heels of reports of “drone swarms” over military installations in the U.S., of which the Pentagon has “no clue” about according to the Wall Street Journal.
The Pentagon doesn’t seem to know much these days and has denied that there is evidence of extraterrestrial visitation to Earth. Yet, here we are with a story of the Pentagon admitting to a Defense Department contractor’s sighting of an enormous glowing blue UAP from over a decade ago.
Then there are headlines from this year such as “Possible UFO over NYC baffles passenger flying into LaGuardia,” “UFO Appeared Underwater Off US Coast, DOD Doesn’t Care, Says Navy Veteran,” and “NASA Introduces New U.F.O. Research Director.”
For all its denials, the Pentagon’s dedicated website still seems pretty invested.
The NY Times explosive expose on the “tic tac” footage and “dark money,” along with Congressional interest seems to have propelled the Pentagon to be more transparent.
Last year, the Pentagon moved the website of the department examining UAPs called the All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office or AARO for short. The website now resides here: https://www.aaro.mil/
There is a trove of data, documents, photos, and case information on the website. The item that always catches my eye is the map showing the concentration of UAP “hotspots.”
Interesting how South America and Africa seem to have none, yet even a cursory search on Google or YouTube will pull thousands of hits among the two continents.
As Mulder always says, “The Truth is out there.”
