Woke activist threatens another NC eatery over school board candidate forum
Katherine Johnson previously canceled reservations made by Moms 4 Liberty at a Wake County establishment.
Katherine Johnson, a “woke” activist living in Durham, North Carolina, has targeted a forum for candidates running for the Wake County School Board and the restaurant hosting the event, Sophie’s Grill in Apex, North Carolina.
The candidate forum event has been planned for weeks and is being hosted by the Western Wake Republican Club.
In a Facebook post, Johnson and several friends discuss making reservations in order to ruin and shut the event.
Johnson has also apparently made negative reviews online of Sophie’s Grill in an attempt to punish the eatery for hosting the event and has encouraged her friends and followers to do the same.
This is not the first time Johnson has attempted to “cancel” an event she ideologically disagrees with.
In June, Katherine Johnson took to TikTok to brag about causing Raleigh bar and restaurant Wye Hill to cancel a Happy Hour event reservation for the conservative group Moms 4 Liberty.
The Twitter account Libs of Tik Tok republished Johnson’s video where she takes credit for her ‘cancel culture’ moment:

Johnson, grinning the whole way through her video, makes an off-hand admission that she has infiltrated the Facebook group for Moms 4 Liberty, stating "You know what else we did,'' Johnson says in her video, "we shut down your whole conversation baby girl, we done been all up over that website."
Johnson is the founder of Project Progress NC, an organization “focused on amplifying North Carolina's progressive voice."
The website format has changed slightly over the last few months; In early June, a bio of sorts for Johnson and one for co-founder Jessica Hockaday appeared under the “About” section of the group’s website. Those bio entries are no longer on the live site but they were archived on the Internet WayBack Machine.
Project Progress NC’s main page touts its “three-pillar plan” to influence an election and centers on voter registration, yet Johnson has been mainly making headlines leading “Summer of Rage” pro-abortion events in Raleigh and the surrounding area. Johnson has touted her involvement in the “Bans Off our bodies March” held in Raleigh on May 14, 2022.
Johnson has also promoted “paid” organizing with the leftist/progressive activist group “Red, Wine, and Blue” which has also been referred to by some as the “Chardonnay Antifa.”
