Happy Easter. Time to decide which side of the spiritual war you are on.
Today is Easter for most folks around the world. Easter for me falls on Sunday, April 16 this year, as I follow the Orthodox calendar.
Whichever Easter you celebrate, pray on the state of affairs and for the children which are at the center of what more and more people are recognizing as spiritual (and cultural) war.
Please follow the bolded links to the clips on Twitter.
Side one: A thread with video clips of “Cursed moments from this year's Interfaith "Transgender Day Of Visibility" vigil at All Saint's Church Pasadena.”
One of the clips features a video of a speaker the tweet says is “terrified her 9-year-old "trans child" could lose access to puberty blockers” and "would have to go through the wrong puberty." The tweet also quotes the speaker as saying, "If I can save my child from having to go through that, what greater gift could we give to our children?"
Side two: From Rev. John K. Amanchukwu, “Contrary to popular opinion, trans students are not under attack, Christians are under attack, truth is under attack, reality is under attack...!”
The clip is of Amanchukwu’s remarks given in front of the New Hanover County School Board.
I’ve highlighted Amanchukwu before when he spoke to the board for Wake County Public Schools, calling out the millions spent on the “Office of Equity Affairs” while kids still can’t read and do math.
“But we're wasting money on a diversity equity and inclusion office while we are failing black students in the name of diversity,” Amanchukwu told the Wake County school board.
