Vice President Kamala Harris sat for an interview with FOX News’ Bret Baier this week in what ended up being around a 26 minute filibuster session.
President Donald Trump’s running mate, Sen. JD Vance of Ohio, reacted in an X post that, for many, summed up the interview.
Expect to see a Trump campaign ad soon of Harris saying during the interview that, "You got to take responsibility for what happened in your administration."
Harris, as she has done since being named the nominee, did not answer the questions posed. She instead attacked her opponent, President Donald Trump, using the same campaign rally talking points throughout the interview in place of answering the questions asked.
Harris often talked over Baier when he tried to redirect to a new question or reiterate the current question. If this had been a debate, moderators would have had to cut off her mic, but various media outlets and cable news talking heads think Baier was being rude. Viewers might see it differently as Baier trying to get real answers out of the vice president.
The border crisis was the first question, with Baier asking if she regretted any of the policies of her administration.
Harris was visibly angry as she filibustered on that topic, dodging the fact that President Joe Biden removed around dozens of Trump executive orders that essentially flung the border wide open. Remember, House Speaker Mike Johnson issued a list of 64 separate actions Biden took that resulted in record numbers of illegal aliens both to enter and to be released into the interior of the United States.
She continued on that filibuster path, refusing to apologize, even when confronted with the faces and stories of three young women killed by illegal aliens under her watch. All she would repeat was their deaths were tragic.
Highlights
When asked (for the first time in an interview) about when she noticed Biden's cognitive decline, she refused to answer and instead defended Biden while attacking Trump.
Harris’ response when asked about why 79% of Americans believe the country is on the wrong track is not to be missed. FOX even threw up a graphic as the question was asked.

More To The Story
Baier spilled the tea after the interview; it started late, Harris' team shortened how long she'd sit for.
'We were supposed to start at 5 p.m., this was the time they gave,' Baier explained of his interview with the Democratic presidential candidate.
“Originally, we were going to do 25 or 30 minutes, they came in and said 'maybe 20.' So it was already getting whittled down,” Baier said. He said Harris didn’t show up until 5:15 and FOX was trying to turn it around for the top of the 6 o’clock news hour.
Baier said he could tell from the start by the way she was answering that he was going to have to interrupt to get to more questions.
"I'm talking, like four people, waving their hands like, 'It's gotta stop!" Baier said after the interview during a special report panel about Harris’ staff wanting to cut the interview off.
Hot Air has compiled all of the questions Baier asked.
Baier talked with Sean Hannity afterwards. Here’s the clip.
