Harris MSNBC interview was Groundhog Day for voters
No answers other than campaign talking points
"A hard-hitting Harris interview is still yet to come."
“Ms. Harris responded to the fairly basic and predictable questions with roundabout responses that did not provide a substantive answer.”
These were the main conclusions drawn by the NY Times of Vice President Kamala Harris’ interview with MSNBC’s Stephanie Ruhle.
The MSNBC interview with Ruhle was Groundhog Day for voters.
It was 24 minutes of softball questions met by filibustering without a single one of the lies told corrected by Ruhle — which wasn't surprising given her recent remarks on the Bill Maher Show.
During that same Maher show segment, Ruhle also made it clear she's completely biased and on Team Harris, stating, "Kamala Harris is not running for perfect. She’s running against Trump. We have two choices.”
Harris claimed Trump "lost manufacturing jobs by, most peoples' estimates, at least 200,000." That's the opposite of what happened; there were around 414,000 manufacturing jobs created in the first two and half years of Trump's term.
Another key moment included Harris having to admit all of her plans basically will have to be funded by tax hikes and she even stated, "we're going to have to raise corporate taxes."
Harris doesn't have a grasp on tariffs as evidenced by her saying they are a, "sales tax on the American people."
Media outlets are running headlines on the taxes topic that are the opposite of what happened, such as "Ruhle calls out Harris on dodging tax plans..."
Ruhle did nothing of the sort.
Harris was asked a softball version of "are you better off today than four years ago," to which she offered a word salad.
Ruhle asked, "There are lots of Americans who don't see themselves in your plans... What do you say to them?"
Harris replied, "Well if you are... hard working... if you... have... uh... the dreams and the ambitions and the aspirations of what I believe you do, you're in my plan."

More To The Story
During the interview, Harris struggled to explain how the "price gouging" controls she wants to enact will work.
"Just to be very frank, I am never gonna apologize for going after companies and corporations," Harris finally told Ruhle.
Harris is not just talking about dictating grocery store prices, she recently said wants to “take on corporate landlords” and control rent.
These are the kind of policies that create shortages, black markets - not to mention these policies killed the economies (and millions of people) in places like Argentina, Venezuela and the former Soviet Union.
Luckily for Argentina, under its new President Javier Milei, the country’s economy has done a total 180 by stripping out socialist government price control policies like the ones Harris is proposing.
